Bandicoot and the Koopa King

Part 1: Introductions and "Imprisonment"

(Note: Although this is suppose to be like Beauty & the Beast, this story will actually follow similar, yet original events. It will not end in romance, and will not include death, TFs or any musical numbers. Instead... This is suppose to be a story of finding friendship, even if your new friend's basically a villain. Let's start!)

There have been legends of a magical book, one which can transport anyone to any world based on their desires... Though there have been times the book acted by it's own will. This tale, is one of those times the book worked by itself.

We cut to an ordinary house, whose occupant is anything but ordinary...

Ben: *Lifts a strange book and puts it on a table* See? I told you I found a weird book. *Clearly talking to someone*

This is Ben Fuller, a bandicoot who used to be human. Strange beings came into his world and invaded it... He only managed to escape when his mother pushed him into a magical television, change his appearance into what he is now.

???: Wow... I uh, honestly did not expect you to be telling the truth there.

Ben Fuller, who clearly looks like an Eastern Barred Bandicoot is actually a bandicoot/monster hybrid. Thanks to one of his adventures.

Ben: Hold on. *Grabs the camera and zooms it out so both he and Sulley are able to be seen* There we go.

That blue monster that you can see is James Patrick Sullivan, or Sulley as he is commonly known as. He his Ben's older brother, (Not to mention his favourite Disney character.) and one of his best friends since coming into this mysterious world. (Along with Mike Wazowski.)

Sulley: Huh? *Confused* What was that?

Ben: Fourth wall gag... *Focuses* Anyway. What do you think about this book?

Sulley: I uh, really don't know Ben. *Wipes some dust from it* Though I know it could use some cleaning...

Ben: *Wipes the rest of the dust off* I can see what you mean. Clearly looks like it wasn't used in a long time. *Feels something* ?

Sulley: What is it?

Ben: *Looks and sees it was his Mario series Bowser amiibo* It's just my Mario series Bowser amiibo... Wait. *Confused* How did that get here?

Then...

*The Bowser amiibo floats...*

Ben & Sulley: !!

*Then it lands on the cover of the book!*

Sulley: I-is t-that it?

Ben: Hopeful-

*The book suddenly opens, and a bright light comes from within it!*

Sulley: WHAT-

Ben: THE HECK?!?!

The light became brighter... UNTIL!!!

Ben & Sulley: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

It engulfed the whole room!!

*A few moments later...*

The brightness died down, allowing sight back.

Sulley: *Slowly takes his hands off his eyes* Ugh... *Rubs his eyes* That was too bright and sudden. Right Ben?

...

Sulley: Ben? *Sees that his brother isn't here all of a sudden* Ben?! *Looking around for him* Ben! Where are you?!

It was at this moment he realised...

Sulley: !! No... *Goes to the book, and opens it* !!! NO!

Mike's voice: Sulley?! *Heads down to investigate*

Mike: What's going on?!

Sulley: You need to see this! NOW!!! *Shows Mike the page that made him panic*

Mike & Sulley: !!!

That Ben Fuller was trapped in the book!!!

Mike: Can't you get him out?!

Sulley: I CAN'T!!! I don't know how!!! *Panicking*

???: I think I know how...

Mike & Sulley: HUH?! *Confused and looking around for the voice*

???: It's me... I'm the book.

Sulley: HUH?! *Confusion turns to anger* Why did you suck up my little brother?! GET HIM OUT NOW!!!

Book: I cannot... His part of the story which he entered, needs to end before he can come out.

Mike: What story?

Book: Easy... "Bandicoot & the Koopa King".

Sulley: Is that a Beauty & the Beast rip-off?

Book: Maybe, maybe not.

Sulley: *Sighs* So we just read until the end?

Book: Basically, yes.

Sulley: Alright then... *Turns his head to Mike* Fancy a read?

Mike: Just this once buddy. *Reads along with him*

And so... With Ben tapped in the book, and Sulley and Mike forced to just read the book. Will Ben find his happily ever after and escape, or be forced to be trapped in this story?

Luckily there's a bit more to be covered in Part 1! Let's go!

*Inside the book*

Ben: *Falling through the sky* AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! *Lands on the ground* Ahhhhhh... Ow... That hurt. *Slowly manages to get himself up* ?! *But can clearly see he's not in his house* HUH?! W-where am I? *Looks around and can see a castle... and a familiar sight* Wait a minute...

He realised where he was, as he knew it well.

Ben: Ha... *A bit scared* I-it can't be... B-B-Bowser's... Kingdom?!

But then...

???: HEY!! You there!

Ben: HUH?! *Turns to see who the voice came from* !!

It was a Hammer Bro! (As well as other of Bowser's minions...)

Hammer Bro: Who the heck are ya?! *Gets close to, and examines Ben* You obviously don't look like a plumber... Plus you have some weird clothes.

Ben: Uh... *Doesn't know what to say*

Hammer Bro: Listen. You look confused and I don't blame you... But I need you to come with us to Bowser's Castle.

Ben: W-why? I didn't do anything wrong! *Confused and a bit defensive*

Koopa: Please just cooperate with us. *Has some rope in his hand* We promise we'll listen to your situation, won't we?

Goomba: Yeah...

Ben: (Somehow I'm doubtful.)

Hammer Bro: Then after your story, we'll decide what to do with you.

Ben: O-okay... *Gets his arms out, clearly a bit upset*

After Ben was tied up, the minions then lead him towards Bowser's Castle and through the entrance, explaining his situation as well.

Ben: *Walking the minions, tied up* And that's what basically lead to this... *Finishes telling them*

Goomba: Wow... That's uh... Unique.

Koopa: I have to agree with that. I mean, a magic book that acted by itself?

Hammer Bro: *Stops by some doors* Then again... We have Magikoopas here, so that is a possibility. Alright, we're here.

Ben: Here?

Hammer Bro: The doors to King Bowser's throne room. I'll go inside the tell him what happened with during our search. *Goes through the door*

Ben: Hey...

Koopa: What is it?

Ben: What's going to happen to me?

Goomba: I don't know... But considering your situation. I doubt it'll be anything serious.

Ben: I hope so...

Hammer Bro: *Comes back through the doors* King Bowser would like to see you, uh... *Doesn't know his name*

Ben: It's Ben.

Hammer Bro: Right! If you will just follow me. *To the Koopa and Goomba* You two are dismissed!

Koopa & Goomba: Right! *Leaves Ben*

Hammer Bro: Hold on. *Unties Ben*

Ben: Huh? *Confused* Why am I being untied?

Hammer Bro: Our king personally wished to see you untied.

Ben: I see. I'll thank him for that later when I get the chance.

Hammer Bro: Let's go... *Leads him into the throne room*

Ben: A-alright... *Follows, clearly nervous*

Then entered the throne room, which was dark at the throne for some reason.

Ben: Huh? (Why's the throne dark?)

Hammer Bro: *Sighs* Remind me to talk to the Boos on torch duty... But I do like how ominous it looks. !! *Focuses* R-right! *Talks to Bowser* Your majesty... I have brought the one who's situation he told me about. Ben...

Ben: Fuller. Ben Fuller.

Hammer Bro: Right. *Whispers* (Thanks.) Ben Fuller.

Ben: *Whispers back* (You're welcome.)

Bowser's Voice: Hmm... *Thinks for a bit* (He clearly doesn't look like one of those pesky plumbers... But if he clearly knows magic...) Send this Ben up to my room! I want to see how he'll fare.

Hammer Bro: Your room?! Why not another room? *Shocked*

Ben: HUH?! *Equally shocked*

Bowser's Voice: Because those other rooms are already occupied. And besides, felt like making him comfortable since he's not an enemy.

Hammer Bro: I-I see... (Not once do I get to go there, even when it's important. And yet HE gets to go there.)

Ben: *Breaths a bit* Phew... (Clearly felt nervous for no reason... though I'm still intimidated by the situation.)

Bowser's Voice: I'll escort him to my room. You are dismissed.

Hammer Bro: Roger! *Walks past Ben, and whispers quickly* (Lucky...) *Exits the throne room*

Ben: *Talks to Bowser* I-I thank you for your hospitality towards me. I don't know how I can repay you.

Bowser's Voice: I think I have something in mind.

Ben: Can I have one request quickly though?

Bowser's Voice: Huh? Sure, make it quick though!

Ben: Could I please see your face?

Bowser's Voice: Alright then... Though you're going to see it anyway. *Makes his way towards Ben*

When Bowser made his way towards Ben to escort him, Ben managed to get a clear look at his face.

Ben: *Sees Bowser's face* !! *GASP!* (I can't believe I get to see it for myself, in person!) *Surprised and a little intimidated* (Though now that I can see it in person, I'm actually a little scared now.)

Bowser: You happy that you get to see me face?

Ben: U-uh... Y-yeah. *Still a little intimidated*

Bowser: Well you're going to see a lot of it. *Grabs Ben's hand and escorts him to his room* Because I don't want you leaving my room unless it's necessary.

Ben: *Sees and feels Bowser holding his hand, and blushes a little* W-why? (I honestly feel like a child...)

Bowser: I'm only going to say it once... *Turns his head to see Ben's blushing face* Huh?! Why are you blushing?

Ben: I-I... *Stutters a bit* Y-you're holding my h-hand...

Bowser: Well stop it! *Turns his head back and blushes a bit* I was going to say that I worry for you a bit and don't want you getting hurt...

Ben: R-right... *Blush lessens* Thanks...

Bowser: D-don't mention it. *Escorting Ben to his room*

Bowser escorted Ben to his room, still blushing a bit because of the hand hold. (Which earned some laughs from minions he later punished with manual labour.)

*In Bowser's room*

Ben: *Looking around* Wow... This room is certainly built for a king, like you of course.

Bowser: Thank you for noticing just how well done this room is. By the way...

Ben: Yes?

Bowser: *Points to a sleeping bag and pillow on the floor* You will be sleeping there.

Ben: Why? Is it because your bed might not suit two people? *Sees it* (Even though it clearly can given his body size...)

Bowser: L-let's just say there are some things I'm saving for a later time. *Blushes a bit*

Ben: Okay? *Confused* Why're you blush-

Bowser: Drop it!

Ben: O-okay, okay. *A bit scared* (Maybe I shouldn't talk about it again.)

Bowser: A-anyway... *Clears his throat* I was wondering if you would be willing to join me for dinner later.

Ben: Huh? *Confused* Dinner, with you?

Bowser: Yes... It will just be the two of us if that will help.

Ben: Yeah... It will. *Curious* What time will that be?

Bowser: About 6:30pm.

Ben: That will be fine. I think I'll be hungry then anyway.

Bowser: Alright then. *Starts to leave his room* I'll pick you up around that time. See you soon. *Leaves his room*

Ben: Alright... See you, King Bowser.

What will happen soon at the dinner table? I think that we will found out soon in Part 2! Until then...

*Outside the book*

Sulley: "To be continued..."

Mike: "To be continued"?! Are you serious?!

Book: The story will be updated soon... Just wait until then.

Sulley: Alright... (Just hold on a bit longer Ben. I promise we'll do something about this book.)
